Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: Why can't I get my current location or address?

Location Permissions: Make sure you have granted PinGo location access. You can check this in your device's **Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services**.

Network/GPS Signal: Geocoding requires a network connection, and location services need a good GPS signal. You can always manually enter the address if the signal is weak.

Q2: Is my data safe?

Yes, all your pins and photos are stored only on your device. They are not uploaded to any external servers, ensuring your data remains completely private.

Q3: Why does a pin's location on the map seem slightly off?

In mainland China, PinGo uses the GCJ-02 coordinate system for better compatibility with local map services. In other regions, it uses the standard WGS-84 system to ensure accuracy globally.

Q4: What happens if I delete a pin?

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. If the pin helped you unlock a "Wonder of the World" achievement, its status will be reset if it was the only pin for that location.
